{"id":479,"date":"2012-09-10T18:57:16","date_gmt":"2012-09-10T23:57:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/taocompliance.com\/?p=479"},"modified":"2012-09-10T18:57:16","modified_gmt":"2012-09-10T23:57:16","slug":"psm-citations-a-year-broken-down-by-industrial-classification","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/taocompliance.com\/?p=479","title":{"rendered":"PSM Citations &#8211; A year broken down by Industrial Classification"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>OSHA has posted a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.osha.gov\/pls\/imis\/industryprofile.stand?p_esize=&amp;p_stand=1910.119&amp;p_state=FEFederal&amp;p_type=4\" target=\"_blank\">breakdown of PSM citations<\/a> so you can compare industry groups that have been cited by Federal OSHA during the period October 2010 through September 2011.<\/p>\n<p>I plugged this data into Excel and ran some numbers between SIC codes for Ammonia Refrigeration process and the Petrochem facilities &#8211; it was not surprising that the results were as follows:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/taocompliance.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/pvr.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-480\" title=\"pvr\" src=\"https:\/\/taocompliance.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/pvr.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"347\" height=\"114\" srcset=\"https:\/\/taocompliance.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/pvr.png 347w, https:\/\/taocompliance.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/pvr-300x98.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 347px) 100vw, 347px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s essentially no significant difference there. If you are one of those people who believe that &#8220;Ammonia refrigeration&#8221; is not really a PSM process, you should know that OSHA doesn&#8217;t share your beliefs.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that this data ends directly BEFORE the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.osha.gov\/pls\/oshaweb\/owadisp.show_document?p_table=NEWS_RELEASES&amp;p_id=21423\" target=\"_blank\">Chemical National Emphasis Program went nation-wide<\/a>.
