While not perfect, it is a worthwhile video to watch as it might just make you question how you should deal with the type of power-failure issues that were a part of this release.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Shock to the System\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_icf-5uoZbc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In conjunction with the PHA, a\u00a0properly prepared \/ followed SOP could easily anticipate these events and mandate safe steps to ensure that these issues could be addressed safely.<\/p>\n<p>I think the recommendations made by the CSB makes are too broad, but you can certainly use this video and the accompanying <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csb.gov\/csb-releases-safety-bulletin-on-anhydrous-ammonia-incident-near-mobile-alabama-safety-bulletin-notes-five-key-lessons-to-prevent-hydraulic-shock\/\" target=\"_blank\">Safety Bulletin<\/a>\u00a0to start a conversation on how these issues can be safely addressed in your facility!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The CSB just released a video on the\u00a0August 23, 2010 Alabama ammonia release.
